Originally created to address the needs of the tactical community (law enforcement, first responders, military), TACFIT turned out to have a far greater reach.

While TACFIT is most certainly a “hardcore” training system when taken to its upper edge, it also provides the necessary steps to take people who haven’t trained hard to a level of intensity many thought they could never attain. This is one of the limitations with many programs out there. There is no in between. The gap between low to moderate intensity training and high intensity training is just too wide for most to bridge.

But one of the primary components of TACFIT is… are you ready… recovery. Very different from the majority of challenging programs out there. With those you get thrown into the deep end, all the focus being poured into how hard you work.

For the tactical community however, being able to recover from the intensity and high levels of induced stress is paramount, both physically and psychologically. Those that recover fastest perform at a higher level, over and over and over again.

This focus on recovery, along with systematic, achievable progression levels, allows us to recover sufficiently from the hard work, to be able to come back to it fresher and with a higher degree of success. Being able to do so exponentially propels our progress forward.

We live in a day and age where our stress response is switched on all the time. We are constantly bombarded from all sides. This stress leads to much of the disease and illness our society is experiencing right now. If we can:

  • mitigate that stress
  • decrease our recovery time
  • and refine our efficiency in transitioning from one situation to the next

we stand to make great strides in not only developing optimal fitness, but optimal coping tools to face the daily challenges we may feel ourselves being crushed under.
