This was Day 4 of being under the weather, but starting to feel better.
After allowing myself two full days to really just be laying down, doing nothing and in bed, I was ready to jump back in. But that’s often not how it works. The body needs it’s time to charge itself back up. And so despite having a desire to dive back in, I needed to continue to heed the signs my body was giving me and take one more day. Though I did start moving again with mobility and some light poses.
It’s a strange balance we are constantly working to attain. On the one hand, when we are perfectly ready to get going, we struggle to find the ummphh to take the first steps. When we’re really rolling and feeling good, if faced with being sick or worn out or attending to aches and pains, we can find ourselves frustrated and impatient to get going again.
But then, with each subsequent rise to the heights of our potential, with each subsequent step to the pure joy and exhilaration of living the life we are meant to, it wouldn’t have the same meaning if we didn’t have to overcome anything to get there. If there had been no exertion. If we didn’t have to attain a higher level of excellence to be there.
If we look at the “adjustments” we need to make as we move forward, as merely that, adjustments, then we see they are in fact necessary to keeping our balance in our journey.
Dare To Evolve,
Shane.
